Coming into the expanded 2020 postseason, not too many people gave the Houston Astros a chance to make much of a run. Those people, however, didn’t count on the experience and quality the team have. They made sure of their place in yet another ALCS on Thursday as they defeated the Oakland A’s to book their place via an 11-6 win in Game 4. The series clincher saw Carlos Correa dominate. He hit a three-run homer in the fourth to put them up for good and then had two singles later on to add RBIs as well.

Michael Brantley had two homers as well, and the Astros will now await the winner of the other ALDS. That one is being contested by the New York Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays. Tampa had a chance to close out the Bronx Bombers on Thursday, but they were denied as the Yankees won 5-1 to force a winner-take-all Game 5 on Friday. The pitching, first and foremost, gave up just three hits over the entirety of the game. Along with Luke Voit and Gleyber Torres home runs, it was enough to get them into a decisive game that will have the total attention of the baseball world.
