There is still an awfully long way to go in the MLB season, but the Houston Astros are showing World Series level form yet again. The Astros, thanks to an 8-6 win in Houston on Wednesday night, swept away the New York Yankees for the very first time in franchise history. And former MVP, and candidate again for the honor, Jose Altuve smashed two home runs along the way to remind everyone of his credentials

That makes it six wins out of his six at home for the Astros, who are widely favored to be among the World Series favorites this season. Right up there with the Yankees and the Red Sox. If not for a late rally by the Yankees that saw them put four on the board in the eighth, this game wouldn’t have been nearly as close as it ended up looking. Carlos Correa also homered for the Astros and had three RBI in the victory.
