Big Ten: In-House Games Only For Fall Sports

The 2020 college sports season always promised to be a strange and unique one after the emergence of Covid-19 upon the globe. We have further proof of its impact, as news emerged on Thursday that the Big Ten would be sponsoring fall sports this season.

The only caveat is that all games will include teams within the conference, with the league citing the added ‘flexibility’ that the decision brings. This comes off the back of the Ivy League canceling fall sports entirely, so while it does look bad, it’s far better than nothing for those that want to watch. The move will limit the amount of long distance traveled and it ensures that all players are tested the same universally, giving it a chance to move forward. The SEC, reportedly, is also considering this type of move, though no news has come out as of yet.
