Bills Defeat Colts, Win First Playoff Game Since 1995
The NFL’s Playoffs began on Saturday, with the newly expanded Wild Card round, and though the name had changed the level of play of Josh Allen under center was far from different for the Buffalo Bills. The quarterback was the same consistent, reliable self he was throughout the regular season, completing 26 of 35 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns through the air.
He ran the ball 11 times as well, for 54 yards and a touchdown, showing his ability to influence the game is about more than just his arm. Opposite numbers Philip Rivers was also very good, throwing for 309 yards and two touchdown, but the Indianapolis Colts were playing catch-up all day and couldn’t quite comeback, falling 27-24 after Micah Hyde knocked down his last-second desperation heave. With the win, the Bills won a playoff game for the first time since 1995!
