Nowadays, it’s no surprise to see wedding ceremonies with their own quirky traditions. A common trend is unplugged weddings, which is becoming increasingly popular for couples. It’s recognised as banning all phones and social media for your big day, so guests are more interactive within the moment.

One bride and groom were keen to put the rule in place for their big day and even included several reminders for their guests before the events unfolded. However, as the bride walked down the aisle and saw an abundance of phones in front of her, she angrily set the record straight with the guests.

The blushing bride told guests to “put [their] phones away”, while walking arm in arm during her aisle walk.

Bride and TikToker @_jenngee was forced to remind the keen shutterbugs of the rule, despite the vast measures in place.

In the video, which was posted to popular video-streaming service TikTok, the bride explained how guests were more than aware of the rule – from signs, announcements, and even reminders from bridesmaids.

Keeping a smile for the photos, the bride continuously reminded guests of the rule, and users praised her decision online.

Captioning the post, she wrote: “Since TikTok took down the last one at 1M – I thought I’d repost with some clarification – Haters going to Hate but I was surrounded by love this day.”

“Stick up for what you want! Those who love you will still love you!” She added to the video.

Despite the approach, several TikTokers took to the comment section of the video to discuss the ordeal – with one even admitting they wouldn’t have been as polite as the blushing bride.

One user wrote: “If I see a phone when I’m walking down the aisle… I’m taking it with me!!!!!”

“You’re better than me I would have been a little more mean especially if they’ve been told that many times,” a second person agreed to the idea.

A third commented: “I’m making my fiancé announce as well to put their phones away. I’m paying a lot of money for prof. photos. I don’t want your iPhone in their way.”

On the other hand, another person added: “The way I didn’t notice ANYONE when walking down the aisle because I was focused on my groom at the end!”
