Chargers defensive end Morgan Fox’s French bulldog wins group at Westminster Dog Show, seeks prestigious Best in Show

Chargers defensive end Morgan Fox is on a depth chart with Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack, but this is his week to shine.

As the Westminster Dog Show continues in Tarrytown, New York, Fox and his French bulldog Winston have some lofty ambitions of Best in Show. And they’re two-thirds of the way there.

After taking top honors among the French bulldog breed, Winston — officially listed as GCHP CH Fox Canyon’s I Won The War At Goldshield CGCA CGCU TKN — advanced to win the non-sporting group Tuesday, putting him in the running for Best in Show.

The winner of the Non-Sporting Group is Winston the French Bulldog! #WestminsterDogShow

With the Westminster Dog Show being the most prestigious dog show in the country, if not the world, Fox has a lot to be excited about. Even making it to this point is an extremely impressive feat.

Standing in Winston’s way will be the six other group winners, three of which have been determined: German shepherd River from the herding group, Maltese Hollywood from the toy group, and Trumpet the bloodhound from the hound group.

It’s steep competition for Winston, but so far he’s been up to the challenge. He’ll be trying to bring it home Wednesday night when Best in Show is judged.
