Chiefs Get More Business Done With Jones

The Kansas City Chiefs are spending some serious cash this off season as they go about making sure they keep a very competitive core intact. They signed Patrick Mahomes to an amazing 10-year extension, and they have now agreed terms with defensive tackle Chris Jones on a four-year deal that will be worth up to $85 million.

The guarantees on the deal are said to be as much as $60 million upon signing. Prior to this, Jones was on the team’s franchise tag. However, he had made it clear that he would not play without a long-term deal in place. Now, that has been taken care of, and the 2019 Pro Bowler is set to suit up. He’s racked up 33 sacks and forced seven fumbles in four seasons with the team.
