The college basketball season has only just begun, but the games continue to come thick and fast, and will do so for quite a while now. Two ranked teams took to the court on Monday night, and both of them won in the end. North Carolina, ranked #14, did so in very comfortable fashion, dispatching UNLV 78-51.
RJ Davis led the way for the Tar Heels with 16 points in 28 minutes of action. Elsewhere, the #17 Texas Longhorns just narrowly came away with a win over Davidson. Steph Curry’s Alma mater gave Texas a real scare, but in the end came up two points short, losing 78-76. It was a hard night for Texas offensively, with Courtney Ramey leading the way with only 14 points, but they still figured out a way to win and that’s what will matter to them at the final buzzer. Both Texas and UNC are now 2-0 on the season thus far.
