Colorado Killer Dad’s Mistress Makes Chilling Revelation: ‘He Tried To Choke Me’
Chris Watts liked “animalistic” rough sex and tried to strangle his mistress during sex, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.
That’s the chilling revelation of the accused murderer’s former lover, a brunette stylist.
According to the mistress, the reviled creep — who is charged with murdering his pregnant wife and two young daughters — solicited dates on the app Tinder, which he used to hook up with her.
The woman, whose name Radar is withholding, is in her 30’s and bears an uncanny resemblance to Watts’ late wife, Shanann, 34.
She claimed she had a six-week affair with Watts, 33, in May and June.
The shaken woman said: “He would put his hands on my throat during intercourse. Now that I know who he is, it gives me the chills! I can’t even think about it.”
“But nothing about him alarmed me until he tried to choke me,” continued the mistress. “That freaked me out. He had a rape fantasy. He was very kinky.”
“When we had sex, it was very animalistic. He just zoned out into a different person. He wasn’t the kind of guy who would cuddle and watch a movie.”
Watts lived in Frederick, Colo., about 30 miles away from his hookup’s home, she said, and charmed her with dates at a pizza joint and Chick-fil-A.
“He seemed normal at first,” she recalled. “He didn’t strike me as violent or strange.”
They saw each other two or three times a week, but the woman quickly noticed Watts was “always sneaking around.”
Initially, she said she didn’t mind because she wasn’t looking for a serious relationship.
But after any hint of romance fizzled out and the Tinder mistress realized Watts was using her for sex, she dropped him.
After his arrest, the stunned gal recognized her former lover — and felt sick to her stomach.
She also said Watts lied from the start. The Tinder picture he posted to his profile was another man. He also told her he had no children and was separated from his wife.
Watts’ alleged murder of Shanann and their daughters — Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3 — echoes the heinous crime of Scott Peterson, who was convicted of murdering his expectant wife, Laci, in 2002.
The bodies of both pregnant women were hidden, and, like Peterson, Watts went on TV to plea for his wife to come home.
What’s more, Peterson had a secret mistress — and lied to her about being married.
In Peterson’s case, his lover Amber Frey provided a motive for his murder of Laci and their unborn baby boy, Conner.
Although he has continued to maintain his innocence, Peterson was convicted in 2004 of first-degree murder in Laci’s death and second-degree murder in Conner’s killing. He is now on death row in California.
Watts’ lover could prove to be a key witness in his prosecution, according to legal experts.
When contacted, the Weld County District Attorney’s office said: “We are unable to confirm whether any specific person had been involved in the case as it is an ongoing investigation.”
However, sources confirmed authorities are aware of Watts’ salacious sexual appetite for both men and women and that he was meeting for extramarital liaisons with people across Weld County, and court documents state he had an affair with one co-worker.
As Radar reported, Watts was arrested on Aug. 15 and faces nine felony counts related to the murders of his wife — who was 15 weeks pregnant with a boy she planned to name Nico — and daughters.
He told police that video on a baby monitor showed Bella “sprawled” out on her bed and his wife actively strangling Celeste.
Watts said he went into a rage and strangled Shanann to death before loading the bodies of his three family members into a truck and taking them to a work site.
There, he said he buried his wife near two oil tanks and dumped the girls inside the tanks.
The mistress said she has no doubt Watts slaughtered his entire family, adding: “It would have been much easier for him to take me out than wipe out his whole family.
“It’s a bad thing to say, ‘It could have been me’ — because it wasn’t,” she added. “It was three beautiful souls.”
