The Golden State Warriors came into Tuesday night’s match-up with the Milwaukee Bucks in desperate need of a victory. Any victory would honestly do. That win came, a 122-121 win over one of the league’s best teams, no less, thanks in very large part to Steph Curry and his magical touch. Even without Giannis staring them down, this is a huge win for the Warriors as it broke a three-game losing run and is now just their second win in the last ten. Curry was simply brilliant here, even in dealing with a ‘tender’ tailbone.

He scored 41 points in all on 14-21 from the field. Kelly Oubre also had a big role to play, as he had 19, including two big free throws that handed them the win thanks to the Bucks missing the final shot of the contest. Jrue Holiday continued to show out for Milwaukee with 29 while they also got 28 from Khris Middleton in the defeat that dropped them to 32-18, 2.5 games behind for the Sixers and the Nets for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. The Warriors, meanwhile, moved up to 24-27 with the win, good enough currently to have them in the tenth spot in the Western Conference. They are five games off the seven seed and just 2.5 off the pace of the eighth, so they could land anywhere as far as the playoff play-in is concerned.
