The battle of Los Angeles was once again waged on Saturday night between the Dodgers and the Angels, and as is the norm, the Dodgers were able to come out on top. It was anything but simple, however, as they were forced to rally from behind to do it.
Mike Trout had driven in three (two via a home run) earlier in the day, and the Angels held a 5-4 lead after five innings. Mookie Betts had different plans, though, continuing his hot hitting to tie the game with a home run. Eventually it would head to extras, where Max Muncy’s sac fly drove in the winning run for a 6-5 Dodgers win. It was their fourth win a row on the season and took them to 15-7 overall, two games up on the Rockies in the NL West.
