Double Heartbreak! Shannon & Kelly’s Marriages Crumble To Pieces In ‘RHOC’ Finale
The season finale of the Real Housewives of Orange County came with a chaotic mix of divorces, f-bombs, booze and tears.
Kelly Dodd‘s miserable marriage to Michael Dodd was over after she spent the entire episode complaining about him. Shannon Beador‘s miserable marriage to David Beador was finished by the end of the show as well.
“This is the problem I have in my relationship and it is constant,” Kelly said about her husband. “One minute he’s nice and it is sweetie, sweetie. The next minute he’s a jerk and he just throws jabs at me. I can’t take these highs and lows.”
“He’s defiant,” she said as she got ready for Meghan King Edmonds‘ big party (the only event of the show).
“I don’t know if he’s doing it to f**k with me,” she added. Kelly’s mom then tried to tell her that “nobody’s perfect,” as the star responded: “Marriage is fucking hard.”
Despite Michael’s objections, he and Kelly shared a limo to the party with the Beadors.
“I don’t want to be stuck in a car with David for half an hour,” Michael complained.
“Can you please try to be nice in the car? I want you to be polite tonight. Can you?” Kelly begged. “I didn’t get to be successful in business by making people feel uncomfortable. Trust me,” he responded, which infuriated Kelly. “I have f**king hit a wall with him. What an a**hole.”
“The older Michael gets the ruder he is. And that’s why half of the time I don’t bring him with me. I don’t know how much more I can take,” she said.
The awkward ride to the party began with Kelly and Shannon boozing it up while their husbands sat in painful silence.
The show flashed quickly to Tamra Judge, who was getting ready to attend her estranged daughter Sidney Barney‘s high school graduation. “I am so nervous right now and I don’t even know why. Being able to make these baby steps with my daughter is a huge deal to me. Being able to see her graduate and to see her grow up, a step of her life, means the world to me,” she said as she broke down into tears.
“I’m excited but I’m nervous. It’s a great direction but in my mind I wish I was there to get ready with her,” she told her son Ryan Vieth.
“I’m just happy to be able to sit in the stands and hear her name called and know that’s my daughter.” The big event was not shown during the episode.
The show wrapped up with a bang at the King Collection party.
“I’m not nervous seeing the women after Iceland,” Peggy Sulahian said after she fled the trip in the middle of the night. “I’m not nervous. I didn’t do anything wrong. They should be ashamed of themselves.”
“I haven’t seen Vicki,” Tamra admitted. “I haven’t gotten a phone call. She’s never apologized to Eddie. I can’t let Vicki affect me anymore. I brought her back into the group after she lied about Brooks. I know there is nothing I can say to this woman to make her change.”
In a flashback, Peggy was shown apologizing to Meghan while at lunch with Lydia McLaughlin after their dramatic trip to Ireland.
Kelly apologized to Peggy about her comments in Ireland, but then made a snide remark about her husband and earned back her wrath.
“Kelly stop being jealous,” Peggy snapped. “Work on what’s going on in your marriage, don’t bash on mine.”
Diko Sulahian apologized to David for the cancer conversation confrontation and Tamra apologized to Diko for calling him a “little b*tch.”
Shannon, however, couldn’t leave the party without getting in a fight with Peggy.
“I don’t want to make a big deal about this,” Shannon yelled at Peggy. “And it has turned into such nonsense that you had the audacity to ask ‘Do you trust your husband?’ I’m not ok with what happened.”
Tamra again didn’t have her friend’s back. “Shannon is looking like the a**hole because she’s overreacting. I just want Shannon to calm down.”
A catty Peggy listened to Shannon’s rant and sarcastically asked her “Are you ok?” which angered Shannon even more.
“You’ve given me that f**king line one too many times girlfriend. I am fine,” she said. “The question is you can’t keep a story straight. You’re a f**ing lunatic.”
“I feel bad for Shannon,” Peggy said in her confessional. “You keep lashing out like that your husband’s not going to want to be with you. You’d better get your crap together.”
Lydia weighed in. “I’m not an expert but if you’re screaming at a party you f’ing lunatic, you’re probably the f’ing lunatic.”
The party ended with Kelly crying to Vicki about her marriage. “I cannot live the rest of my life like this Vicki. Michael and I aren’t even having sex. I gave it my all and I tried. We built this life together and it’s sad to see it go. I’m going to sell my house and do it on my own. I think I can do it on my own. If there is a will there is a way.”
Kelly Dodd: “Kelly sold her house in Corona del Mar. She has since filed for divorce from Michael.”
Meghan King Edmonds: “Meghan convinced Jim to have another baby. She’s undergoing IVF and is trying for a boy.”
Lydia McLaughlin: “Lydia stopped taking the pill after Doug’s vasectomy. And now she wants to defrost his sperm and try for a girl.”
Shannon Beador: “Shannon’s rental house was sold by the owners and the Beadors have moved into separate houses.”
Vicki Gunvalson: “Vicki convinced Steve to buy a vacation home with her. But she couldn’t convince Briana to stay in O.C. She and Ryan are moving to North Carolina.”
Peggy Sulahian: “Peggy’s daughters have moved out and are attending college in Los Angeles. They still come home for food, laundry and money.”
Tamra Judge: “After attending Sidney’s graduation, Tamra had dinner with both Sidney and Simon. Soon after, Tamra and Sidney had a falling out and are no longer speaking.”
