Draymond Green could be facing discipline from the Warriors for a reported physical altercation with Jordan Poole during practice Wednesday.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Anthony Slater and Marcus Thompson II reported that the veteran forward forcefully struck Poole during the alteration.
Green is a four-time NBA champion and a staple of the Warriors’ dynasty. Poole, a guard, averaged 18.5 points in 76 games last season in his third year with the Warriors.

Sources told The Athletic that Green and Poole got into an altercation at practice, with the two players eventually getting chest to chest and then pushing and shoving each other. From there, the situation escalated, with Green striking Poole.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Green punched Poole. Wojnarowski also reported that Poole was not injured and he finished his workout before leaving.
There has been no reporting yet as to what the potential discipline could be, with Wojnarowski noting that the team is reviewing what happened.
The Athletic noted that Green and Poole have often had verbal disagreements, but Wednesday’s incident went too far, according to sources.
