One of the suspects accused of the felony rape and murder of Holly Bobo may be getting a plea deal, but his family spoke exclusively to RadarOnline.com and revealed that drugs may have been a factor in the heinous crime.

Jason Autry is charged in connection with Bobo’s kidnapping, assault and death, but his family is speaking out about the case as the trial date approaches.

“I don’t think Jason is capable of that,” his mother in law, Patsy Chumney, told Radar about the vicious crime of which he has been accused. “But if you get on some drugs you don’t really know,” she said.

Autry’s attorney filed a motion in February indicating that he was working out a plea deal, stating that the information he had about the crime could be given in return for “very little jail time.”

Bobo, 20, a nursing student, was taken from her Tennessee home on April 13, 2011 by a man in a camouflage outfit and was never seen again. Her remains were found by hunters in a rural area not far from her house in 2014.

“I just feel sorry for the kids,” Chumney told Radar about Autry’s children.

Brothers, Zachary Adams and Dylan Adams, are also charged with Bobo’s rape and murder. A clerk in the Hardin County Court, where the trial has been moved, said a plea deal for Autry had not been reached.

Zachary Adams is scheduled to be in court on Friday, June 23 for a motion hearing and Radar will be livestreaming the proceedings.
