Grizzlies Reeling Following Jazz Loss

The Utah Jazz came into their meeting with the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday in the Orlando ‘bubble’ having thoroughly disappointed so far in the new environment. Their offense had barely been cracking 100 points in their first three games, but they made a swift change by taking advantage of a struggling Grizzlies team on the day, making 18 three-pointers in route to a 124-115 victory.

That loss for the Grizzlies means that they are only one game ahead of ninth place in the West now, with their ‘easy’ games now fully gone. At this rate, they will be unable to avoid the play-in situation, and some might feel that they will miss the play-in chance entirely. Joe Ingles, who scored 12 points in the fourth quarter, had 25 total in pacing the Jazz’s procession to victory. Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics brought the Brooklyn Nets back to reality by thumping them to the tune of 149-115. Kemba Walker didn’t even play, and he didn’t need to, as Jaylen Brown led the way with 21 points (15 from three-point land).
