While Notre Dame’s win over Clemson is sure to get much of the nation talking after Saturday, there were some other big results across the college football landscape that could alter the outlook for the final four come December. In the Big Ten, a pair of teams improved to 3-0 thus far, with both Indiana and Ohio State winning.
The latter, the Buckeyes, of course, aren’t a big surprise as they rolled over Rutgers. But Indiana is a mild surprise as they overcame Michigan for the first time in 33 years with another fine showing from Michael Penix under center. Quietly, they are building a great resume, and they could challenge for the Playoff. Elsewhere, the Florida Gators walloped the Georgia Bulldogs, with Kyle Trask playing like a man on fire and dominating what had been a strong UGA defense prior. In other games across the nation, the likes of Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, Marshall, and Liberty kept up their perfect campaigns.
