Johnson, Three Others Top Masters Leaderboard
The Masters’ second round isn’t totally complete as of yet, with the finish of Friday’s second round coming on Saturday morning, but we have a compelling tournament ahead of us. Four players hold the lead after Friday, with Dustin Johnson being the biggest name (and most likely to hold it). He sits at -9 despite having shot a -2 70 in round two. He is joined by Abraham Ancer, who shot -5 on the day, as well as Justin Thomas and relative unknown Cameron Smith, an Australian.
Patrick Cantlay and three British golfers tied for the best round of the day with 66’s, with Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, and Danny Willett all joining him. Cantlay sits in the best position of those three at -8 overall currently. Of the golfers that are still to finish their second round excursion are Tiger Woods. Woods is still at -4 through 10 holes of the second round. Paul Casey, leader after round one, is in them middle of his round as well. However, he’s one over through 11 holes, so unless he makes hay soon he will be trailing. Bryson DeChambeau, meanwhile, has some work to do with six holes left to play as he is currently just below the cut line and in danger of missing out on the official weekend down in Augusta.
