In case you haven’t noticed, Clayton Kershaw is great again. The Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher is producing some fine performances out on the mound in this strange 2020 season, and he increased his record to 5-1 on Thursday night with another dominant showing against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
This one was notable due to the fact that he became the second Dodger in history to reach the 2500 strikeout mark, joining Don Sutton on that vaunted list. In six innings on the evening, he only allowed a single hit and no runs, dropping his ERA thus far to just 1.50. Health is the #1 thing with him, and if he remains in good shape and pitching like this, it will be tough to take him- and the rest of the Dodgers- down come the postseason.
