It was a day, and a weekend, that was supposed to be dominated by the NFL Playoffs. Despite that, LaMelo Ball made sure to make his presence known on Saturday when he became the youngest player in NBA history to produce a triple-double as he led the Charlotte Hornets to a 113-105 win over the Atlanta Hawks.

USA Today

At the tender age of just 19, Ball had 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists to set the record. He was able to beat Markelle Fultz by 177 days for the throne, so he essentially shattered the mark, you’d have to say. He had nearly done the feat two nights prior, but he fell just an assist short. With the win, the Hornets now have three in a row and sit at 5-5.
