The Covid-19 issue just seemingly will not go away, and it’s going to have an effect on the college football landscape in a very big way this coming weekend- and possibly beyond- as it was announced late on Thursday that Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence will be out against Boston College this weekend after testing positive for the virus.
Lawrence said himself that his symptoms are mild, but until he has several negative tests, he will be disallowed from returning to the fold. A Heisman candidate, Lawrence will be missing a start for the first time since September 2018. The worry for many Tigers fans will be if he has to also miss their game against Notre Dame the following weekend. Or he could, quite possibly, be forced into playing on little to no practice. We’ll just have to wait and see how this shakes up the college football scene.
