The Tampa Bay Lightning just aren’t strangers when it comes to wild overtime wins in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, are they? They showed that to be true on Tuesday night as they took on the Boston Bruins in a classic match up. Down 1-0 after the first game of the series, they twice fell behind to the Bruins only to equalize. Blake Coleman scored two goals, one of which gave them a lead, finally, in the third period.
However, Brad Marchand got his second goal about five minutes later to take the game in OT. That is where Ondrej Palat came into the picture. He would score less than five minutes in, handing them a precious 4-3 win and leveling the series up at a game apiece. The Vancouver Canucks also took their series with the Las Vegas Knights to 1-1 on the night, winning 5-2. Bo Horvat led the way with a pair of goals.
