People have praised the ‘life-changing’ tip shared by a man who prompted many to realise they have been using bubble wands incorrectly. Luckily, there’s an easy fix parents will love
People have been left lost for words after a man revealed many of us have been using bubbles wands incorrectly. While it is no secret the outdoor toys are adored by children everywhere, they don’t always prove popular with parents.
After all, it can be a little taxing if you are tasked with waving the wand in the air for hours, and spilled mixture can quickly lead to tears. But in turns out tired arms aren’t a prerequisite for fun, and you don’t have to fill a wand with liquid – a method likely to lead to spills – at all.

In fact, you probably shouldn’t, as this is not the proper way to use them, according to one man. Taking to TikTok, @thelegendarynutjob revealed what he claims is the proper way to use the toys – and the method has been dubbed life-changing.
In the popular video, which has amassed over a million views, the man demonstrates “how a bubble wand should be used.” And not only does his trick look simpler and safer to use, it creates many more bubbles than the method most commonly used by families.
First, demonstrating what not to do, he waves the wand around in the air, a technique many of us will be familiar with. Instead, he recommends pulling the wand in and out of the liquid, blowing through the middle of it when pulled up.
And the result is pretty epic. Instead of a measly string of bubbles, he creates a torrent so strong it is sure to delight any child. Commenters, who were themselves delighted, said they could not wait to try out the trick with their own kids.
One person wrote: “I work in a nursery and I feel like this is going to change my life.” A second said: “Now my kids and I won’t waste all the bubble mix.. thank you.”
And a third added: “You are kidding me!!!!!! you know how much time I wasted trying to do as many as possible to entertain my daughter!!!!”
Other fans of the trick wrote: “You just changed my life,” and someone reported: “I’m not waiting for next summer to do this, I did go out to get some and my daughter loved it.” Several people also shared their shock, having never seen such a technique used before.
“WHAT!?!? Holy cats…” read one comment. “When I tell you my mind is blown,” said another. And a different viewer wrote: “Sat on couch at 49 in stunned silence. TT has allowed me to relive my childhood blowing bubbles. I was clearly rubbish at it the 1st time round.”
