Mavericks Obliterate Clippers

In order to have a team down 77-27 at halftime, you have to have a couple of things going for you. For one, you have to be really good. There is no doubt about that. But the other team also has to be very bad. That’s what took place on Sunday as the Dallas Mavericks hammered the Los Angeles Clippers with a first half that will go down in the record books.

The previous high for a first half had been 47, but it could have been even worse as the Mavs did have a 57-point lead at one stage. Luka Doncic, of course, led the way for the Mavericks as he posted a near triple-double with 24 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists in only 26 total minutes of action. The final score was 124-73, a 51-point difference, so the second half wasn’t nearly as bad for the Clips…
