MNF: Chiefs Wake Up Late, Packers Ease Past Falcons

Due to Covid-19, Monday Night Football had a rare doubleheader this week. First on the docket was a meeting between the New England Patriots and the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs. Despite holding the Chiefs to just six points in the opening two quarters, the Pats just didn’t muster enough to win in the end.

Bleacher Report

The Chiefs roared to life late in the third quarter and in the fourth, scoring 20 points to pull away and win 26-10. Pat Mahomes ended up with just 236 yards, 19 completions, and two touchdowns, but the fact their defense played so well will be the main thing they find happiness in. In the night cap, the outcome was- honestly- easy to predict. The Green Bay Packers, now 4-0, were taking on the previously 0-3 Atlanta Falcons. And, as you would expect, it went to the way of the green and yellow. Aaron Rodgers was hardly bothered in the 30-16 win, completing 27 of his 33 tosses for four TD’s and 327 yards. Tight end Robert Tonyan caught three of those four TD passes, helping the Packers remain unbeaten and putting much more pressure under the backsides of the leadership in Atlanta.
