To say that Kyle Busch had an eventful Saturday would be a massive, massive understatement. The defending Cup Series champion prefers to stay busy, and that meant running two races at Texas Motor Speedway. In the opener in the Xfinity Series, things rarely went to plan for him. He had to trudge through the field three different times, once for a speeding penalty, but in the end he would end up taking the checkered flag.
However, it was taken away from him due to his car not passing inspection post-race, and Austin Cindric was given the win. Luckily for Busch, he had another crack at it during the night-cap. In his own vehicle, he would take home victory in the Gander Trucks, overcoming his employee Christian Eckes by under a second. The pair were so good on the evening that they finished 12 seconds ahead of anyone else. Not too shabby at all.
