Shopkeeper shares lie they tell customers about stock

A newsagent has gone viral on social media after revealing how he treats demanding customers – and it has left many of his customers shocked.

Scottish shopkeeper Yasser Inayat – who is known on TikTok as @the.silent.shopkeeper – often shares his best-kept secrets with followers as a shop boss.

In a recent video, he appeared to lift the lid on what happens when a demanding or rude shopper comes in.

Yasser said he will lie about ‘checking the back’ for a specific item – knowing already that it isn’t there.

He claimed going to the stock room would appease demanding people, but he would return with nothing.

The newsagent posted the video on TikTok, writing: “bossman #tiktokshopkeepers #retaillife #scotland”.

He joked that he will check the stock out the back – knowing the product they asked for isn’t available
