The NFL, in its wisdom, has employed a ‘flex’ rule for the last few years, and that has come in handy once more this week. The league has decided that it would change Sunday night’s planned game from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Oakland Raiders to the Arizona Cardinals vs the Seattle Seahawks.
The move is being done in order to make sure that there is actually a contest held on Sunday night as Covid-19 within the Oakland camp is placing the game’s status up in the air a bit. Virtually all of the Raiders’ offensive line is currently in quarantine, but the league still expects the game to go on. Only it will be on Sunday afternoon rather than on Sunday night. They just have that built in cover now in the event that it can’t proceed so that they will have something to show in primetime.
