NFL Cuts Preseason To Two Weeks

It has taken a long time, but it’s finally happened: the NFL has shortened its preseason. The move had been rumored for years now, with players and owners jockeying for position over other, more important matters, willing to concede it.

As it turns out, it took the virus to take it down to just two weeks for the 2020 season. Weeks 1 and 4 are now gone, and teams will only have two games to use to ramp up for action. This ostensibly means that we’ll see much more game-time for bigger-named players that we typically do over the course of the preseason. The move is mainly being done to keep teams from moving so much personnel so often. It cuts one trip for each team, so that is not insignificant.
