Nuggets Complete Epic Come back, Win Game 7 Vs Clippers

No one has ever managed to come back from a 3-0 deficit in the NBA Playoffs. And while the Denver Nuggets’ own hole was a 3-1 one and slightly less impressive, it was still extremely noteworthy. That’s what they pulled off on Tuesday night as they defeated the Los Angeles Clippers to advance to the NBA Finals via a 104-89 win that was keyed by none other than Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, two of the most underrated stars in the game. Murray led all scorers on the night by posting 40 points, something he has done frequently in the playoffs thus far.

Meanwhile, Jokic was an absolute monster as he added 16 points all the while dishing out 13 assists and grabbing 22 rebounds. You just don’t get much better than a triple-double in a Game 7, and that helped pave their way to a first Western Conference Finals appearance since 2009. In the final two quarters, it was obvious the Nuggets would advance, as they outscored the Clippers by 17 down the stretch to seal their progression. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the big off-season acquisitions for the Clippers, combined to score just 24 points in the loss, one that will reverberate for some time. The Nuggets now await the top-seeded Lakers in the next round.
