The New Orleans Pelicans are a young team, and as a result of that, they do tend to be quite streaky. They have lost big leads this season, but on Sunday it was their turn to put the shoe on the other foot against the Boston Celtics. Battling back from down as many as 24, they managed to defeat the Celtics 120-115 in overtime. Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson led the way, with Ingram leading all scorers with 33 points while his counterpart had 28, 24 of which came after the end of the first half.

Jayson Tatum had 32 in the losing effort for Boston, a loss that saw them drop to 15-15. Elsewhere, the Toronto Raptors kept on roaring as they took down the East’s best Philadelphia 76ers 110-103. The win, keyed by 23 points from Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam, was their fourth in a row and it took them to 16-15 on the campaign. They were able to hold Joel Embiid to ‘just’ 25 points and 17 rebounds, quite the feat considering he had just posted 50 in his last outing. That makes nine victories from their last 12 and it means they are starting to finally find their groove again.
