The final score of Monday Night Football this week ended up being 24-10 in favor of the Los Angeles Rams against the Chicago Bears. To some, that score doesn’t look dominant, but for anyone that watched the game, it most definitely was. The Rams were in control for most of the night on both sides of the ball, giving up seven of those points to the visiting Bears in the fourth quarter when the game was all but sewn up for them.
Quarterback Jared Goff was far from spectacular, but he was solid as he went 23-33 for 219 yards and two touchdowns. He didn’t have to be brilliant, as their defense was superb, allowing less than 300 total yards of offense and forcing two turnovers. Both of those were interceptions off of Nick Foles, with the final one coming in the fourth quarter to seal the game. Speaking of turnovers, that was how the Bears scored their lone touchdown of the game, with Eddie Jackson retrieving a fumble and running in from eight yards. The Rams did a majority of their damage in a 14-point third quarter, with two drives going the distance as they combined for 15 plays and 135 yards to all but finish off the game. Both teams are now 5-2 following the result and remain well within the playoff mix.
