Ravens Down Cowboys, Improve To 7-5

The Baltimore Ravens’ game against the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday night wasn’t an absolute must-win in the classic sense. But honestly, it had to be treated as one by the team and its fans. Coming into the game at 6-5, they took on the 3-8 Cowboys knowing that a loss could see them locked out of the playoffs. That still might happen, but the fact that they picked up a big win post-outbreak puts them at 7-5 and still solidly in contention.

Baltimore Beatdown

That only outbreak on this night was the fact that their rushing attack was not going to be hindered. Quarterback Lamar Jackson threw for just over 100 yards upon his return, with two touchdowns, but the running game as a whole went for 294 total yards. Jackson amassed 94 of those on the ground, as well as picking up a touchdown as he scampered down the middle for a 37-yarder in the first quarter. The 34-17 defeat means the Cowboys are now just 3-9, finally putting them out of their misery just about as they are two full games off the pace in the NFC East. It would not take something special for them to make the playoffs, but we have seen crazier things happen.
