Ever wondered what supermarket assistants really think of you when you’re shopping?

Well, here’s your chance to find out.

Sainsbury’s employee Akafi Ali has revealed what it’s really like to work at the store and the most annoying things that customers do on his TikTok @akafiali.

In a video that has since been viewed more than 190,000 times, Akafi said the most irritating thing that customers do is arrive before the shop opens on a Sunday.

Most stores open for business at 11am on a Sunday, but some keen shoppers are seen turning up as early as 9am Akafi says.

”Go to sleep, go to sleep,” he ordered, ”You are coming here too fast.”

Akafi then recalls typical demands an early customer would bombard him with, like: “Do you have a basket? Are you open?”

He added: “11 o’clock. Please. Are you serious?

”I don’t want to hear it, I don’t!”

Instead, he said customers should stay home, make a cup of tea and wait until the store opens at 11am.

Since being posted, the video has racked up more than 44,000 likes and almost 700 comments, many from retail assistants who could relate.

One person said: “Say it again for the people in the back.”

Another wrote: “‘Do you have a BAH-SKIT?!'”

A third commented: “Literally how I feel. We open at 10 and customers come in at 9 and ask too many questions.”

Someone else put: “Same at Next! Ugh and don’t get me started on sale!”

“I don’t wanna hear it, I DON’T,” added another.

But the early risers aren’t the only thing that annoys Akafi in another video he shared a phrase customers say that grinds his gears.

The most common comment he hears is: “I’m never shopping here again,” to which he said, “What am I going to do with that information?

“Am I supposed to say, ‘no sorry, please come back, we want you?”
