Saints Punish Broncos, Mahomes Tops Brady

The Denver Broncos just so happened to go through two ‘punishments’ in the past few days. First up was the knowledge that they would be without all of their quarterbacks for their game against the New Orleans Saints. This news, obviously, wasn’t good news, and it meant they were due to for a second punishment when the game itself kicked off. That punishment came into effect in a big way as the Saints capitalized on emergency starter Kendall Hinton to pummel them 31-3. The win, which came as a result of 124 yards on the ground and two TD’s from Latavius Murray and a further two from Taysom Hill on the ground, improved the Saints to 9-2. The Broncos fell to 4-7 with the loss, one in which Hinton only managed to complete one of nine passes for just 13 yards.

He also had two interceptions, so that was far from helpful. Elsewhere, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs defeated Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-24. The Chiefs are now 10-1 on the year following a 37-49 performance from Mahomes that saw him rack up 462 yards passing and three touchdowns. Brady had 345 yards of his own, but he had three interceptions to go with two TD tosses. Tyreek Hill was the big offensive star for the Chiefs, with the wide receiver making 13 grabs for 269 yards and three TD’s. Just insane numbers that keep the Chiefs in the hunt for a potential #1 seed in the AFC. Another big game on the day was contested between AFC South rivals as the Tennessee Titans outlasted the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 45-26. The win sees them improve to 8-3 and it saw them take control of that division. Derrick Henry was back to his best, rushing for 178 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries.
