Seahawks Defeat Cardinals Via Game-Ending Sack
The NFC West is about as open as it has ever been, and a big part of that has been the play of Kyler Murray for the Arizona Cardinals. You always expect the Seattle Seahawks to be around the mix, but few would have thought that Murray would have such an impact this early. Just a few days ago he made headlines with the ‘hail Murray’ that found DeAndre Hopkins. The same opportunity was on the table on Thursday night for him as his Cards took on the Seahawks.
Only this time, the Seahawks had an answer, with Carlos Dunlap sacking him to prevent some late heroics that would have potentially tied the game. The Seahawks’ 28-21 win puts them at 7-3 on the season and a game up on the now 6-4 Cardinals. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was very solid on the evening, completing 23 of 28 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns. DK Metcalf kept adding to his legend with a 25-yard reception in the first quarter as the game seesawed back and forth throughout. The aforementioned Murray finished the game with two touchdown tosses of his own and 269 yards through the air on a night where the running game just didn’t exist at all for the Cards.
