Sergey Kovalev vs. Tervel Pulev date, start time, channel & card for Triller Fight Club event

A few veteran boxers are set to headline the next Triller Fight Club event. Sergey Kovalev and Tervel Pulev will fight one another on May 14 from inside The Forum in Los Angeles.

Kovalev, a two-time World Military Championships winner, started boxing at the age of 11. He turned pro in 2009 and won the WBO light-heavyweight title in 2013. “Krusher” won the WBA and IBF light-heavyweight titles from Bernard Hopkins in 2013. He lost his titles to Andre Ward in 2016 and the rematch a year later. Kovalev won the WBO title but lost it to Eleider Alvarez. 

Regaining the belt in 2019, Kovalev would lose the title against Canelo Alvarez, who moved up in weight, in 2019. That was his last pro bout. 

A bronze medalist in the 2012 Olympic games, Pulev turned pro in 2016. He won the WBA International cruiserweight title in 2019. After a year-plus away from the ring, Pulev returned in January 2021, beating Vikapita Meroro via TKO. 

Tervel is the brother of Kubrat Pulev, who will be facing Kerry Forrest in the co-main event.
