Silas To Be Named New Rockets Coach

The Houston Rockets have finally moved on from head coach Mike D’Antoni, and that meant that they needed to find a new coach to place in the hot seat. They are set to announce that very coach soon, according to sources, and it will be former Dallas Mavericks assistant Stephen Silas.

Mark Cuban, owner of the Mavs, appeared to confirm this as he congratulated his former employee on the move. Silas, who is 47, has been an assistant for 20 years under various coaches throughout the league. He’s made a name for himself working with guards, with the likes of Luka Doncic and Steph Curry becoming stars under him. The Rockets will hope he can do more of that for them in the years to come.
