A feisty raccoon broke the internet this Tuesday night when it climbed the UBS Plaza in St. Paul, Minnesota and began fearlessly scaling the massive skyscraper!

“The #mprraccoon watch is on pause. The raccoon climbed from the north wall around the corner to the west wall of the 17th floor of the UBS tower about 30 min. ago and seems to be resting again,” tweeted MPR reporter Tim Nelson at midnight.

Building staff tried to rescue the so-called “MPR raccoon” various times, but the adorable creature kept climbing floors and running around building ledges!

A crowd of locals even gathered outside the building to watch the wild mammal on his valiant trek. He reportedly climbed up to the 23rd floor before being caught!

“The #mprraccoon is doing a little grooming now that he’s a social media star. You know, on a 23rd floor window ledge,” added Nelson along with a video of the raccoon grooming himself on a skyscraper ledge.

This Wednesday morning, the raccoon was eventually rescued.

“After a delicious meal of soft cat food, #mprraccoon has been caught and will be picked up by Wildlife Management. Goodbye friend!” tweeted UBS Plaza, along with a photo taken by the building owner, Crescent.

So long MPR raccoon!
