Stanton Remains A Bronx Bomber

Despite the New York Yankees potentially hoping he would opt out, Giancarlo Stanton has decided not to do so, remaining with the team for the foreseeable future after a less-than-optimal start to his career in the Bronx.

The power hitter has been good when he has played for them in three seasons following his massive deal he signed, but he has been injured often, causing many to wonder if he’ll ever be worth the amount they paid. Currently, he has seven years and over $200 million left to his deal, meaning it’s a hefty sum that the Yankees will continue to pay.
