Justin Thomas is on fire at the moment. Having shot a 65 on Sunday in Memphis to capture the Fedex- St. Jude WGC Invitational, he also moved back to the top ranked player in the world via the victory.
When all was said and done, his 13th Tour win was by three strokes over a pack of players that included Phil Mickelson and Brooks Koepka. No one had anything for Thomas down the stretch, who did not want a repeat of the three-stroke shocker he lost three weeks ago with only three holes left to play. With that ‘W,’ he became the third-youngest in the last six decades to get to 13 wins, and given how well he’s playing, he’s got to be one of the favorites to take home next week’s PGA Championship from TPC Harding Park in San Fran.
