Tom Brady Fox contract: How much Buccaneers QB will make compared to Tony Romo, Troy Aikman

Tom Brady has reset the TV quarterback market.

Fox announced Monday that the Buccaneers quarterback is set to become an analyst for the network after his playing days are done — whenever that may be — and details on a shiny, new and expensive contract are starting to surface.

Front Office Sports’ Mike McCarthy reports that Fox isn’t planning to just back up the Brinks truck — they backed up several. The network is making Brady the highest-paid color analyst in football on his potential deal, keeping Brady’s cash flow going long after his playing days are done.

Here’s what the quarterback will be making when his playing days are done:

Tom Brady Fox contract

According to Front Office Sports’ Mike McCarthy, Brady is going to make “well over $20 million per season” as Fox’s lead NFL analyst.

The reported deal sits between $20 million to $25 million per season, which could put the total around $200 million (pending an unknown amount of years).

That number surpasses the reported contract totals of both Troy Aikman and Tony Romo, who are two of the highest-paid color analysts in the TV game today. Both former NFL quarterbacks are making $18 million per season, reports indicate, essentially getting paid on a per-game basis.

Romo signed a 10-year deal with CBS in early 2020 (total contract value at $180 million), while Aikman made the jump from Fox to ESPN earlier this year alongside long-time running mate Joe Buck on a five-year deal ($90 million in total).

All three of those deals compare favorably to what active NFL quarterbacks will make in 2022. According to Over the Cap, 17 NFL QBs are set to earn more than $18 million next season. Not among them: Tom Brady, whose number with the Bucs comes in at about $15 million.

Tom Brady net worth

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Brady is currently worth around $250 million dollars.

That takes into account Brady’s current contract with the Buccaneers, his past contracts and all his off-the-field ventures. It does not take into account wife Gisele Bundchen’s net worth, which sits at around $400 million per Celebrity Net Worth.
