With less than two weeks to go until the PlayStation VR2 launches, Sony released an unboxing video to show off what’s in the box and how easy the new VR system is to use with a PS5.
We’ve already seen what’s in the box in photo form, but the video below gives us a much better idea of the different components, how big both the headset and the controllers are, and how the headphones connect and can be easily stored on the back of the headset.
This video should help to quell any fears regarding how comfortable the headset is to wear, because Sony has clearly taken the time to make it adjustable for most head shapes and sizes. The Sense controllers also look very comfortable to use for extended periods. It’s also nice to see the box doubles as a durable storage solution for the different components when not in use.
With a $599.99 price tag, the PlayStation VR2 is a big investment and it’s understandable many PS5 owners will be reluctant to pick one up before seeing more regarding what’s on offer. Hopefully Sony has a number of events planned following the launch where gamers can try the headset out with a few games.

For anyone who’s tempted to pick one up, but still has some questions, there is a solution. A few days ago Sony published an extensive PlayStation VR2 FAQ(Opens in a new window), which has sections for a general overview, the headset, controllers, broadcasting and capture, and “other” for any questions that don’t really fit elsewhere.
