UFC 274 features Justin Gaethje making his second run at the UFC lightweight title against Charles Oliveira. Oliveira already successfully defended the title in UFC 269 against Dustin Poirer, putting his winning streak at 10 matches and setting his career UFC record at 20-8. He has since been stripped of the belt after missing weight.

Rose Namajunas is defending her strawweight title against Carla Esparza, after reclaiming her belt against Zhang Weili in April 2021. The two would fight again in November at UFC 268, with Namajunas winning to keep her belt.

The main card is rounded out by Michael Chandler vs. Tony Ferguson, Mauricio Rua vs. Ovince Saint Preaux, and Donald Cerrone vs. Joe Lauzon. Ferguson, Saint Preaux, and Cerrone are the respective favorites.

In the prelims, Norma Dumont will be trying to continue her ascension up the featherweight standings against Macy Chiasson, and heavyweights Blagoy Ivanov and Marcos Rogerio de Lima will be facing off. The night will take place at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
