The Atlanta Braves, at least according to most, were hoping that starting pitcher Bryse Wilson could give them three or four decent innings in Game 4 on Thursday night. Taking on three-time Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw, the Braves got much more than that as part of their 10-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Having pitched just over 15 total innings all season, he produced six stellar innings that included just one earned run, setting the table for the Braves offense to explode in the sixth inning.

In that pivotal frame, Freddie Freeman, Marcell Ozuna, Dansby Swanson, Austin Riley, and Cristian Pache all drove in runs as they put up a six-spot. Ozuna had homered earlier in the third to cancel out a home run that came from the bat of the Dodgers’ DH Edwin Rios in the third. He then went yard again for Atlanta’s eighth run of the evening in the bottom of the seventh. The Braves, always seeming to live on the edge, had to fight to close it out, but they now are up 3-1 and need just one win out of three to get to the World Series.
