The third week of NFL action is nearly completely in the books now, and with that came some notable quarterbacking performances. The two in question were Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers, much to no one’s surprise. Wilson set the NFL all-time record for most touchdown tosses in the first three games on the day, breaking Pat Mahomes’ mark set two seasons ago.
He now has 14 so far having thrown five against the Dallas Cowboys in Seattle’s 38-31 win. He led the winning drive before his defense picked off Dak Prescott to seal it, moving them to 3-0 thus far. Rodgers, as mentioned, also had a fine night as he led the Green Bay Packers to a 3-0 mark as well thanks to three TD tosses of his own against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints have now lost two in a row and sit at 1-2 on the new season thanks to a 37-30 defeat. Drew Brees also played well, throwing for three TD’s and outpassing Rodgers by five yards, but it wasn’t enough and they will now be behind the eight ball a bit more than they might have liked.
