Woman told to ‘leave the beach’ after fuming mum complains about her bikini

A beachgoer received thousands of supportive comments after claiming that a mum ordered her to leave the beach because her bikini was inappropriate.

Savannah Sims said she was sunbathing on a beach in Hawaii when a family joined her nearby, and the mum quickly took offence.

But she dubbed the woman a “hypocrite”, saying she stripped down to a thong bikini after confronting Savannah.

She recounted the experience on TikTok, where her video racked up more than 950,000 views.

She said: “So I just had the worst experience in Hawaii on the big island. I lay down at a spot that’s right off the road and this family gets out of their car and sits down kind of close to me.

“And the mum starts saying to her boyfriend, ‘no I can’t have that and ‘that’s not OK with me.

“I look up and she’s looking at me, so I ask if there’s an issue. She said she doesn’t want to see my butt and lady parts.”

Holding up the camera to show her bikini, she continues: “To be clear, this is my bathing suit. Pretty frigging normal right?

“And this girl over there said that this happens all the time and she didn’t come here to see my body.

Savannah said the confrontation “ruined her day”

“I asked her what the issue was and what I needed to cover because she was with a kid so I was trying to be respectful.

“She just said that she wanted me to leave, I was in her way. So I got up and left and she said ‘mahalo’, and it ruined my day.”

In a follow-up video, Savannah said the woman was wearing a thong bikini and dubbed her a “hypocrite”.

She said: “She is wearing a thong bikini. Which is totally fine, I wear those all the time.

“But to call me out and take off your skirt and be rocking a G-string, you’re either a hypocrite or it wasn’t about what I was wearing.”

Her videos sparked a slew of supportive comments, with one local commenting: “I live on Maui and I’ve never had an issue with anyone or anything.

“Don’t let one bad apple ruin your vision, there’s a lot of Aloha on the islands.”

Another commented: “You should have stayed, put your earphones in and ignored her.”
