The Washington Commanders have decided to shut down quarterback Jayden Daniels for the rest of the season, NFL Network reports.
Per the report, Daniels was not medically cleared on Monday after being re-evaluated for an elbow injury. With Washington out of the playoff picture, backup Marcus Mariota is scheduled to start for the final three games of the season, including a Christmas day matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
