Upbit and Bithumb, South Korea’s highest-volume cryptocurrency exchanges, have experienced a remarkable surge in altcoin trading volume over the past 24 hours.
When the data from the two exchanges regarding Korean won exchange rates are examined together, strong domestic demand stands out, particularly concentrated in some medium-sized and new projects.
While tokens like ENSO, NOM, and SOMI generated hundreds of millions of dollars in volume on Upbit, Bithumb data shows that this trend is not unique to a single exchange.
Here are the altcoins with the highest trading volume on South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the last 24 hours:
- ENSO – $819 million
- NOM – $345 million
- SOMI – $212 million
- FLUID – $158 million
- AXS – $142 million
- XRP – $119 million
- AVNT – $111 million
- USDT – $93 million
- BTC – $77 million
- ZKC – $68 million
It is noteworthy that XRP, which previously topped the list almost every week and received particular attention in South Korea, has fallen to the bottom of the list in recent weeks.
