Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson signed a three-year extension through the 2027 season, the team announced on Sunday. The deal is worth $16.5 million, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
The contract agreement was reported on Friday, but became official with the Bengals releasing a statement and photos of McPherson signing the deal on its social media account.
Last season, McPherson made 26 of 31 field goals (84%) with a long of 56 yards. He was also perfect on extra points, kicking through 40 of his 40 attempts.
For his career, McPherson has made 84% (78-for-93) of his field goal attempts, his longest being for 59 yards. His 21 field goals from 50 or more yards (hitting 21 of 28) are tied for the most in the NFL during his three seasons. Additionally, he has converted 95% (126-for-132) of his extra points.
McPherson was the team’s fifth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Florida.
