Grand Theft Auto VI Soundtrack Revealed with 34 Original Tracks

Date:

Rockstar Games has officially unveiled the soundtrack for its highly anticipated video game, Grand Theft Auto VI, titled ‘Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album’. The collection will feature 34 new tracks and is slated for release on November 19, 2026, coinciding with the game’s launch. Six initial singles, featuring prominent artists such as Keith Richards and Travis Scott, were made available today, September 17, from the forthcoming gta 6 album.

The soundtrack, described by Rockstar as comprising ‘brand-new, original tracks,’ is expected to span various genres, judging by the diverse contributors to the initial singles. Artists like Yung Lean are also part of the first batch of confirmed contributors, as reported by The Verge. This comprehensive music collection will be accessible across all major streaming platforms, with physical editions also planned for release.

Published jointly by Rockstar Games and Atlantic Records, the music will be available for pre-save via major streaming services. Pre-orders are currently open for physical editions, which IGN initially reported via Dealabs’ billbil-kun, shortly before Rockstar’s official announcement.

Physical Editions and Collector’s Items

Fans and collectors will have multiple options for owning the Grand Theft Auto VI soundtrack physically. A double LP vinyl edition is priced at $50, while a double CD version will retail for $20. For dedicated collectors, a limited edition vinyl set is available for $125, featuring two transparent magenta discs infused with blue liquid and exclusive artwork, according to IGN.

This emphasis on physical music releases presents a notable contrast to the game itself. Grand Theft Auto VI will only be available digitally, a decision that has sparked criticism among some fans who prefer physical copies of games over digital downloads. Strauss Zelnick, the head of Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two, defended this digital-only approach last month, asserting that discs ‘don’t really make sense for the consumer.’

Anticipation and Global Impact

The announcement of the gta 6 album follows weeks of speculation and pre-release buzz. Spotify fueled anticipation with online teasers and billboards in major US cities including New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. Additionally, various artists, including Travis Scott and Keith Richards, hinted at their involvement through their social media channels, as noted by IGN.

The launch of Grand Theft Auto VI is one of the most significant events in the gaming industry in recent years. Its immense popularity and anticipated sales volume mean that many other major game publishers, with the exception of Nintendo, have strategically avoided releasing their own titles in close proximity to GTA VI’s launch, according to The Verge. This cautious approach by competitors underscores the game’s expected impact on the global entertainment market, potentially influencing release schedules and revenue streams for companies worldwide, as well as shaping cultural trends around music and gaming.

Last month, Rockstar provided a ‘first-look’ at gameplay, which premiered on Netflix before being widely released on YouTube, further escalating public interest in the upcoming title.

As November 19 approaches, all eyes will be on the release of Grand Theft Auto VI and its accompanying soundtrack. The rollout of further tracks and potentially more artist announcements for ‘Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album’ will be closely watched, alongside the critical and commercial reception of the game itself.
